Sunday Service @ 10:00am | Meeting Location: 1000 Ulatis Drive, Vacaville
North Hills Family,
"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." Colossians 4:2
I hope you've been as encouraged by our memory verse as I have. Sometimes I drift into a complacency where prayer becomes more perfunctory than powerful, more dutiful than delightful. I thank God for waking me up to both the privilege and the responsibility of prayer.
In last Sunday's passage, Paul calls Christians to a lifestyle of prayer. This means, above all, making a habit of cultivating our relationship with God in such a way that our joy increases and our effectiveness in ministry grows.
My encouragement is that we follow through and make a serious commitment to prayer that involves Adoration (Praising God for who He is), Confession (Acknowledging personal sin and need for forgiveness), Thanksgiving (Praising God for what He's done), and Supplication (Making specific requests). ACTS can serve as a helpful pattern to keep us on track when setting aside times for prayer.
"At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ..." Colossians 4:3
In addition to personal and family prayer, the leadership at North Hills is asking you to pray for us, that God may continue to open doors for the Gospel as we prepare to move into the new North Hills Ministry Center in May. (131 Parker Street). We're excited about this opportunity to build community and see more lives transformed by the Gospel.
Here are some things to take to the Lord in prayer:
1. To grow deeper in worship and fellowship with one another through Bible classes, seminars, small groups, prayer and praise gatherings, meals, etc.
2. To extend our ministry to Vacaville through counseling services and a more visible presence in the community for His glory
3. To complete building renovation and furnishing in a timely and efficient manner
4. To involve all of us in supporting this expansion through prayer, financial giving, and work projects
Thank you for your vital involvement and prayer for North Hills. Please feel free to ask questions or give input regarding this endeavor. You can call or text our new PRAYER LINE at 707-413-PRAY (7729)!!
